LONDON, KY — Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jared Hale arrested David Bruce Crawford, age 63, of London early Saturday morning July 12, 2025 at approximately 12:48 AM.
The arrest occurred in a parking lot off of Abbuhl Road approximately 5 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of an intoxicated male there that was apparently attempting to leave in a vehicle.
When deputies arrived at the scene they located the driver of a Nissan Versa and noted that he had slurred speech, bloodshot glassy eyes and a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from him.
Deputies determined that this individual was under the influence and placed him under arrest.
David Crawford was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense
- Failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense
- No registration plates
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
