SOMERSET, KY - The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office is reporting to have received multiple complaints from citizens claiming to have received phone calls from deputies with the Sheriff's Office regarding the citizen's failure to comply with a jury duty summons.
The call appears to be made through the Sheriff's Office phone number, and on a couple of occasions, the person uses the name of deputies who do work for this agency.
Although the details are not fully known at this time, this is a common scam that circulates.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office will not contact a citizen by telephone regarding their failure to comply with a jury duty summons.
If you receive a call that appears to be from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, by someone claiming to be a Deputy Sheriff, and are concerned as to whether you have missed jury duty, please contact the Pulaski County Circuit Clerk's Office to confirm whether you have or not.
