JOSEPHINE COUNTY, OR (July 1, 2022) - The Oregon State Police is reporting that on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at approximately 3:30 AM, Josephine County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 block of Browntown Road in southern Josephine County for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival it was learned the victim was deceased and the reporting person was the shooter. The Oregon State Police Major Crime Team was requested by the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office to assume lead on the investigation.
Funds raised will benefit local cancer patients and their families
MOUNT STERLING, KY (July 1, 2022) – The CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations’ statewide “Evening of Hope” fundraising event has raised more than $260,000 on Saturday, June 18, with more gifts continuing to be made. Proceeds from the event will benefit CHI Saint Joseph Health cancer patients and their families. For the second consecutive year, the fundraising event was held in place of in-person galas and other fundraising events. The event included Kentuckians across the state – including in Mount Sterling – hosting a dinner party fundraiser, which featured a virtual silent auction, a mission moment and inspiring stories of hope.
