Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Rachel Rudder age 24 of Taylor subdivision, London on Monday afternoon December 5, 2016 at approximately 1:43 PM.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.
When Deputy Houston arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this subject had allegedly been observed concealing and attempting to leave the store with over $59 worth of unpaid merchandise.
Rachel Rudder was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and public intoxication – controlled substances and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
