Complaint - Stumbling out into traffic / Laurel County


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Sarah Gilbert age 23 of Elkhorn Meadow Dr., Apartments, Georgetown, Kentucky on Monday afternoon December 12, 2016 at approximately 2:35 PM.

The arrest occurred on Barbourville Road approximately 5 miles south of London after Deputy Houston was dispatched to a complaint that a female subject was walking along KY 229 and was stumbling out into traffic causing a dangerous situation.

When Deputy Houston arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he noted this subject had pinpoint pupils and fresh track marks on her left arm. Once arrested, this subject became combative and following a short scuffle was taken into custody and after being placed in the backseat of the police cruiser, this subject began to scream and kick the side glass of the police cruiser.

Sarah Gilbert was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; disorderly conduct – first degree; menacing; and resisting arrest and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
