Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root along with Detective Kyle Gray, Lieut. Greg Poynter, Detective Sgt. Kevin Berry, Detective Chris Edwards, Detective James Sizemore, Detective Jason Back, Deputy Travis Napier, Deputy Jake Miller, Deputy Rick Cloyd, CSO Brent France, Bailiff Paige Vanhook, and CSO Sean Hayre assisted by Social Services arrested five individuals at a residence off Meadow Lane, approximately 3 miles south of London on Tuesday afternoon February 27, 2018 at approximately 2:30 PM.
The arrests occurred while the Laurel County Sheriff's Office was conducting a drug investigation there.
Deputies located 4 individuals at a residence where drugs were allegedly being used, and juveniles were present along with a one-year-old child in the residence.
In addition, deputies located drug paraphernalia and items with a white powder residue on one individual there.
In addition, while conducting their investigation a gray colored Jeep vehicle pulled into the driveway and its driver was determined to be under the influence and was found in possession of suspected crystal meth, a glass pipe with residue, a cut straw with residue, and its driver stated she had snorted methamphetamine.

All five individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
