LAUREL COUNTY, KY - Laurel Sheriff's Sgt. Brett Reeves is reporting that a wooden bridge in southern Laurel County has been closed due to structural damage.
The wooden bridge located on Dorthae Road (north Ky. 1223) which crosses over the CSX Railroad was damaged on Friday afternoon January 4, 2019 at 12:50 PM and will be closed to highway traffic for an extended period of time - several days while repairs are being made.
Assisting at the scene was:
West Knox Volunteer Fire Department, Kentucky State Highway Department, and the Laurel County Department of Public Safety.
The bridge received damage apparently from a tractor trailer.
