A Clay County man is arrested off East Laurel Road on drug charges

Laurel County, Ky. -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Sgt. Greg Poynter along with Deputy Josh Morgan, Deputy Travis Napier, CSO Brent France, and CSO Hunter Disney arrested an individual off East Laurel Road on Wednesday evening January 9, 2019 at approximately 5:02 PM.

Arrested was Tommy E. Vaughn age 40 of Sally Little Road, Manchester, Ky.

The arrest occurred off East Laurel Road, approximately 10 miles east of London after this individual was found in possession of a white crystal substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine along with suspected Xanax and Suboxone. In addition, deputies determined that this individual was under the influence. This individual told deputies that the crystal substance was Crystal Meth.

Tommy Vaughn was charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance – third-degree; public intoxication – controlled substances.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
