London, Ky. - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards along with Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested two individuals on Wednesday night April 10, 2019 at approximately 7:04 PM.
The arrests occurred on East 4th St. in London after detectives and deputies observed a Dodge truck being operated with the wrong license plate affixed to it.
As deputies turned on the vehicle to conduct a traffic stop, the driver through a bag out the window which was retrieved by detectives and contained suspected crystal methamphetamine.
An investigation was conducted on the driver who was determined to be under the influence – this subject stated he used meth frequently in the past three months. In addition, the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant and a passenger in the vehicle was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.
