Clay County, KY - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On May 26, 2019 at approximately 11:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Detective Jeff Kelsey responded to an anonymous tip that a fugitive wanted on a Clay County Indictment Warrant was at a residence on Highway 1482.
Upon arrival a unknown male subject took off on foot into the wooded area.
Through consent from the landowner, units recovered a stolen ATV from Whitley County along with other ATVs and vehicles that VIN numbers had been altered.
A female subject was arrested after confirmation of a warrant through Clay County Dispatch.
Assisting at the scene was Clay County Sheriff Deputy Cody Blackwell, Clay County Sheriff CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb, Clay County Sheriff PAO Trent Baker and Kentucky State Police Trooper Logan Gay. Charges and case is still pending investigation by Detective Kelsey.
