Clay Deputies locate large quantity of Meth during arrest

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on July 17, 2019 at approximately 11:45 AM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones along with Clay County CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb, CSO Wes Brumley and PAO Trent Baker arrested Eli Combs, 41 of Sally Little Road.

The arrest occurred on South Highway 421, through confirmation with Clay County Dispatch it was confirmed that the subject was wanted on two Clay County Circuit Indictments.

During search of incident, Deputies located a large quantity of methamphetamine located on his person. The photos attached is courtesy of the Clay County Detention Center and PAO Trent Baker.

Eli Combs was charged with:

• Serving Clay County Circuit Indictment Warrant
• Serving Clay County Circuit Indictment Warrant
• Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Promoting Contraband 1st Degree
• Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine)
