Kidnapping suspect arrested in London after alleged victim escapes

LONDON, KY - The Knox County, Ky Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On July 22, 2019 Knox County Deputy Sam Mullins was contacted by a female that advised on Saturday July 20, 2019 she and her two children had been taken out of her residence on Ridge View Drive at gun point by her husband, Aaron Dees, and driven to Jackson Springs North Carolina.

She also stated that Dees threatened to shoot her and her children if she attempted to get help.

The victim was able to get away from her husband in North Carolina and return to Gray, KY.

As a result of his investigation, Deputy Mullins obtained an Arrest Warrant.

Deputy Mullins and Deputy Mikey Ashurst located and arrested Aaron Dees age 24 of Gray, KY at a residence on Beech Creek Street in London.

Aaron Dees was charged with:

  • Kidnapping-adult
  • Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree

He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

The investigation is continuing by Deputy Mullins.
