Laurel County, Ky. (Sept.24, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel County Sheriff's deputies along with US marshals arrested two individuals on Monday afternoon September 23, 2019 at approximately 3:34 PM.
The arrests occurred on Dezarn Road approximately 6 miles east of London after US marshals attempted a traffic stop by activating their emergency equipment on a black colored Ford Mustang GT on KY 638 and the vehicle refused to stop.
Laurel County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area and along with US marshals arrested two individuals after the Mustang wrecked out running off the roadway into a ditch on Dezarn Road.
The two occupants of the vehicle attempted to flee on foot but were immediately captured .
One of the individuals in the vehicle was found in possession of Methamphetamine. The other individual in the vehicle was wanted on a federal indictment warrant for trafficking in Methamphetamine.
The two arrested individuals were identified as:
Ronnie Lee Bowling age 63 of London charged on:
- A federal indictment warrant charged with trafficking in Methamphetamine
Donnie Howard age 58 of London charged with:
- Fleeing or evading police – first-degree – motor vehicle
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of Marijuana
These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
