Man allegedly hits female victim with his fist & then strangles her

Laurel County, Ky. ( Sept. 25, 2019) -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner along with K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler and Deputy Travis Napier arrested Daniel Nolan age 39 of Burnett Rd., London on Tuesday night September 24, 2019 at approximately 7:55 PM.

The arrest occurred off Burnett Road, approximately 9 miles southeast of London after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there.

Upon arrival at the scene a male suspect fled the scene on foot but was apprehended following a short foot chase.

Deputies conducted an investigation and learned that allegedly this subject had hit a female subject with his fist and then strangled her.

Daniel Nolan was charged with:

  • Assault – 4th degree
  • Strangulation – second-degree
  • Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
