Laurel County, Ky. (Sept. 30, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Joey Robinson along with Sgt. Greg Poynter and Deputy Allen Turner arrested Benjamin Collins age 59 of Keavy on Saturday night September 28, 2019 at approximately 7 PM.
The arrest occurred off Wise Owl Road, approximately 7 miles southwest of London after deputies were dispatched to a fight in progress complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the male suspect and a male victim who had allegedly been kicked in the head multiple times.
The victim declined medical attention however deputies noted facial injuries and arm injuries.
Benjamin Collins was charged with:
- Assault – second-degree
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
