Three arrested as “War on Drugs” continues in Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. (October 2, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Joey Robinson Along with Deputy Taylor McDaniel ,Deputy Robert Reed, Sgt. Brett Reeves, Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective James Sizemore, Detective Bryon Lawson, and Bailiff Paige Vanhook arrested three individuals off Morentown Road, just north of London on Tuesday morning October 1, 2019 at approximately 8:05 AM.

The arrests occurred after Deputy Robinson who was on routine patrol observed an illegal burn at a residence off Morentown road noting that a burn ban was still in effect in Laurel County. Upon pulling into the driveway two subjects attempted to flee but were immediately taken into custody. These two individuals were found in possession of pills,  glass pipes, and marijuana. In addition a third suspect there was found in possession of a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine, digital scales and a glass pipe. The three arrested individuals were identified as:

Charles W. Sizemore age 44 of Hayley Ridge Rd., Pittsburg charged with:

  • Fleeing or evading police – first-degree – on foot
  • Resisting arrest
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
  • Possession of Marijuana

Jody Noland age 44 of Moren Rd., London charged with:

  • Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
  • Possession of Marijuana

Kathy Delph age 58 of Morentown Rd., London charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine

All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
