LONDON, KY (October 14, 2019) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler arrested two individuals early Saturday morning October 12, 2019 at approximately 5:30 AM.
The arrests occurred at the Laurel County Sheriff's office in London after two individuals came into the Sheriff's office regarding a traffic crash occurring earlier the day before.
One subject was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant and the other individual was determined to be under the influence.
The two arrested individuals were identified as:
Kelly Lynn Johnson age 36 of Corbin charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
Tyler R. Riggs age 28 of Corbin charged on:
- A Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging: Failure to appear in court on numerous registration and insurance violations.
These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
