Clay County, Ky. (On October 14, 2019) - The Clay County Sheriffs Office is reporting that on October 14, 2019 at approximately 2:30 PM Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson, Chief Deputy Clifton Jones, Sgt. Jeremy Gabbard and Detective Jeff Kelsey responded to a shooting complaint on Skull Branch Road off of North Highway 11.
Upon arrival, units on scene found a female victim with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The female was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The deceased has been identified however, her name is being withheld pending notification of family.
Assisting at scene was Clay County EMS and Clay County Coroner Jarrod Becknell.
