Tip leads Clay Deputies to Forgery suspect

Clay County, Ky. (October, 23, 2019) - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on October 21, 2019 at approximately 3:10 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Wes Brumley along with CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb arrested Joshua Jarvis, 29 of Beech Creek Road.

The arrest occurred when Deputies received a tip that the above mentioned subject was attempting to cash checks belonging to Garrard Holiness Church at different locations.

Upon arrival at a business on South Highway 421, Deputies located the above mentioned subject outside in the parking lot.

Through confirmation with Clay County Dispatch it was shown the subject have an outstanding warrant of arrest, along in his possession was a check book belonging to Garrard Holiness Church.

The subject had forged a check written to himself. 

Joshua Jarvis was charged with:

• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
• Forgery 1st Degree

Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones charged the individual with Forgery.

Investigation is still open and more arrests are pending
