MOUNT VERNON, KY. (October 27, 2019) – On Saturday October 26, 2019 at approximately 07:19 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London was contacted by Rockcastle 911 requesting assistance on two gunshot victims on Mohawk Lane in Rockcastle County.
Preliminary investigation indicates that two victims were shot on Mohawk Lane Road shortly after 7:00 AM. The victims sustained non-life threating injuries. The suspect is yet to be identified.
The victims were transported to Rockcastle Regional Hospital and later sent to University of Kentucky Hospital where they were treated for their injuries and released.
Det. Loudermilk is actively following up on leads and believes this to be an isolated incident.
Det. Loudermilk is continuing the investigation. He was assisted by Troopers and Detectives from Post 11 London, Rockcastle County Sheriff's office, and Mt. Vernon Police Department.
