Wanton Endangerment arrest off West Cumberland Gap Parkway / Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. (November 9, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9 Deputy Jake Miller arrested Emilia Williamson age 32 of Dearborn Heights, Michigan on Tuesday after locating this individual at a service station off West Cumberland Gap Parkway.

The arrest occurred after this individual was determined to be under the influence and was operating a green colored Saturn vehicle there.

In addition, a small child was in the vehicle at the time of the driver's arrest.

Emilia Williamson was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
  • Wanton endangerment – second-degree
  • Promoting contraband – second-degree
  • Possession of Marijuana.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

While being lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center, staff there found her in possession of a Suboxone strip.
