MANCHESTER, KY (November 13, 2019) - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on November 12, 2019 at approximately 10:30 AM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones along with Clay County SRO Jarrod Smith arrested Jason Wagers, 37 of Henson Road.
The arrest occurred when Chief Jones and Deputy Smith was dispatched to a residence off of Portersburg Road where the above mentioned subject had been staying that had an active warrant for his arrest.
Upon arrival, units on scene came into contact with the subject who attempted to flee on an ATV.
While being placed under arrest the subject became aggressive and resisted arrest, after a brief struggle the subject was placed under arrest without further incident.
Jason Wagers was charged with:
• Serving Probation Violation Warrant
• Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree (Police Officer)
• Fleeing or Evading Police
• Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
• Resisting Arrest
