KSP Investigates Fatal Collision in Jackson County

MCKEE, KY. (November 18, 2019) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is investigating a fatal collision that occurred just after 7:00 pm Friday night, on KY Highway 290 in McKee.

The initial investigation indicates, a 1999 International flatbed truck and trailer operated by Mackenzie Isaacs, 19 years old of McKee, KY, crossed the center line and collided with a 2001 Nissan Frontier, operated by Dustin Tillery, 35 years old of McKee. As a result of collision, Dustin Tillery was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Jackson County Coroner. Two of his juvenile passengers were airlifted from the scene to the University Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries, where one of them, Justin Tillery, 13 years old of McKee later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by Trooper Shane Bowling. He was assisted on scene by KSP Post 7 personnel, Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Jackson County Fire & EMS and the Jackson County Coroner's Office.
