Laurel County, Ky. (November 27, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Brent France Along with Deputy Allen Turner arrested James Anthony Reeves age 30 of Lily on Sunday night November 24, 2019 at approximately 8:15 PM.
The arrest occurred off Tackett Spur Road, approximately 7 miles South of London while deputies were conducting a welfare check there.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies located:
- A glass pipe
- Straws,
- Suspected crystal Methamphetamine
- A large sum of US currency
Deputies noted the house was not suitable for living conditions with a five-year-old child present inside the residence.
James Anthony Reeves was charged with:
- Criminal abuse – third-degree – child 12 or under
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
