MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on March 30, 2020 at approximately 2:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Coty Arnold along with Deputy Kendric Smith and Deputy Jared Smith arrested David Taylor, 48 of Wick Hill Road.
The arrest occurred when Deputies were dispatched to a prowler complaint of a male subject wearing a hoodie shining a flashlight inside a residence through a window on Bald Knob Road.
Upon arrival, Deputy Arnold made contact with the above mentioned subject who matched the description of the prowler.
Through investigation it was determined that the subject had broke into the owner's barn, stole his truck and backed it up to the residence with intent on taking items from the house.
When the subject was told he was under arrest, he became combative and after a brief struggle the subject was placed under arrest without further incident.
David Taylor was charged with:
• Theft By Unlawful Taking- Auto
• Resisting arrest
• Criminal Trespassing
