MANCHESTER, KY - The Manchester Police Department is reporting that: On May 1st 2020 at approximately 7:03 AM Officer Antonio Dodson received a complaint through Clay County Dispatch.
Dispatch advised that a Jonathan Freeman was actively involved in a verbal altercation with a unknown female subject located at Walker Lane.
Freeman was supposedly driving a red passenger car of some type.
Upon arrival of the area Officer Dodson was able to locate the male subject operating a red 2011 Red Suzuki four door car coming down Potter Lane at a high rate of speed.
A traffic stop was initiated at that time and an investigation was conducted to determine what had taken place.
Once Officer Dodson was able to relay information through dispatch pertaining to the vehicle, the car came back reported stolen out of Montgomery County, KY.
Upon search of incident to arrest Officer Dodson was able to locate a loaded handgun in the driver seat next to the subjects right leg.
The subject was removed from the vehicle at that time and placed under arrest. Upon searching the subject's person Officer Dodson located two small clear baggies containing a white powdery substance believed to be Methamphetamine.
Jonathan Freeman age 40 of Manchester, KY was charged with:
- Poss cont substance 1st
- Possession of firearm by convicted Felon
- Receiving stolen property u/$10000
This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
