We have tried to find an easy way to describe Serena’s positon here at the Sheriff’s Office but she’s a lady who wears many hats. Serena is our secretary, bookkeeper, tax collector, human resources director, office manager and grant writer, just to name a few of her duties. When we say that she is the glue that holds this office together that’s 100% true. Serena handles all of our office affairs and does it professionally, accurately and gracefully.
Serena’s experience is second to none and we truly feel the citizens of Leslie County are lucky to have her assist in their needs here at the Sheriff’s Office. Serena’s position is critical for this office and all of Leslie County. She handles her duties without complaint.
In the past year Serena has made arrangements to update our computers, add a credit card program for payments, bar code scanners for efficiency in tax collections, and update other necessary office equipment. If you have a question, she has the answer. Serena has collected thousands of dollars in grant funding for our office over the past year, grants that have outfitted our deputies with new equipment, funding for new vehicles and bullet proof vests.
