North Carolina man accused of Trafficking Methamphetamine in southern Laurel County, Kentucky

Contraband suspect 7 29 20

LONDON, KY (July 29, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Deputy Landry Collett and Sgt. John Inman arrested Billy Dean Hammack, Jr. age 28 of Pickle Shed Ln., Clinton, NC early Wednesday morning July 29, 2020 at approximately 1:01 AM.

The arrest occurred on Adams Road approximately 10 miles South of London following a traffic stop conducted on a white Ford F-150 pickup.

During the traffic stop an occupant in the vehicle was found in possession of:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • Digital scales
  • Snorting straw
  • Unused distribution bags
  • Marijuana

Billy Dean Hammack was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of Marijuana

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
