LONDON, KY (Aug 20, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler arrested Brandon L. Copeland age 30 of London on Wednesday night August 19, 2020 at approximately 10:50 PM.
The arrest occurred at a business off North Main St. in London after Deputy Mehler was contacted by a pedestrian who stated that a male subject had approached her while she was walking her dog asking her for drugs and making obscene comments.
Deputy Mehler obtained a description of the suspect and located him at a business off North Main St. conducting an investigation and determined that he was under the influence.
Brandon Copeland was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center
