LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Bryon Lawson and Detective Robert Reed along with other Sheriff's detectives, deputies and bailiffs arrested five individuals on Thursday afternoon October 15, 2020 in northern Laurel County following drug investigations the Laurel County Sheriff's office conducts on an ongoing basis.
Sheriff's investigators found methamphetamine, glass pipes with residue, digital scales, a needle loaded with methamphetamine, a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and a subject wanted on an outstanding warrant regarding outstanding drug charges.
The five arrested individuals were identified as:
Mark Gavin age 29 of Highway 1376, East Bernstadt arrested off KY 1376 4 miles north of London charged with:
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Mitti Sue Napier age 45 of Highway 1376, East Bernstadt arrested off KY 1376 approximately 6 miles north of London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
Donald Johnson age 32 of Slate Lick Rd., London arrested off KY 490 approximately 6 miles north of London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
Brian Martin age 45 of Highway 578, East Bernstadt arrested off KY 490 approximately 6 miles north of London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
In addition, this subject was wanted on an outstanding Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first offense – second-degree
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
Ryan Hall age 27 of Highway 1376, East Bernstadt arrested off KY 1376 approximately 6 miles north of London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
All five individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
