SOMERSET, KY - Sheriff Greg Speck reports that a Science Hill woman was arrested on various charges after Deputies served a search warrant on a North Highway 1247 residence around 12:30 Thursday afternoon, October 15, 2020.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office along with Agents from the Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force, and the Kentucky State Police arrived at the residence to execute a search warrant drafted by Detective Lieutenant Daryl Kegley. The Search warrant follows a four-month multiagency investigation.
Upon arriving at the residence, Deputies located two male subjects, later identified as Eric R. Peters and William D. Godby.
A search of the vehicle Peters and Godby were located in uncovered 2 baggies containing:
- Suspected Methamphetamine
- Marijuana
- Syringes
Deputies approached the front door of the residence and announced their presence. After a reasonable amount of time Deputies forced entry into the residence. Detective Lieutenant Daryl Kegley located Angela N. Burdine in the bathroom of the residence attempting to flush items. Deputies were able to recover the items before they were lost.
Deputies located approximately 3 ounces of Methamphetamine and 40 Xanax tablets in the toilet.
While searching a bedroom in the residence, Deputies located:
- Numerous baggies of suspected Heroin
- Methamphetamine
- Digital scales
- Cash
- Baggies
- A safe
Deputies were able to gain access to the safe where a substantial amount of Methamphetamine and Heroin was located.
The following items were seized from the residence:
- Approximately 679.9 grams of Methamphetamine (approximately 1.5 lbs)
- Approximately 92 grams of Heroin
- Approximately 468 Xanax
- $2,578.00 Cash
The search of the residence resulted in the following charges:
Angela N. Burdine, Age 29, Science Hill, was charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (over 2 grams) (Methamphetamine)
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (over 2 grams but under 100 grams) (Heroin)
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 1st Offense (over 120 D.U. Drug Unspecified)
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
Eric R. Peters, Age 40, Somerset, was charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
- PPossession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
William D. Godby, Age 42, Somerset, was charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
All individuals were transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center without incident.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office has been assisted in the investigation by the Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force, Kentucky State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Pulaski County Detention Center.
The investigation continues by the Narcotics Division of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
