LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel along with Deputy Dustin Saylor arrested Zachary Ryan Cotton age 21 of Laurel River Church Rd., London on Thursday morning October 15, 2020 at approximately 9:57 AM.
The arrest occurred off North Laurel Road at a business approximately 1 mile north of London while on-duty Detective Taylor McDaniel (in suit and tie) was inside the business and observed a male subject who was unsteady on his feet, had glossy bloodshot eyes and discarded two hypodermic needles into a trash can in his presence.
An investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence.
Zachary Ryan Cotton was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
