REPORT: London man & a Manchester, Ky. woman found in possession of large quantity of Methamphetamine

LONDON, KY (October 27, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner along with K-9 Deputy Jake Miller arrested two individuals on Tuesday morning October 27, 2020 at approximately 8:10 AM.

The arrests occurred on North Laurel Road, approximately 3 miles north of London following a traffic stop that deputies conducted on a red Nissan Altima.

During the traffic stop the driver and passenger were found in possession of:

  • A large quantity of Methamphetamine
  • A clear pipe with a clear crystal substance in it
  • Marijuana

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

The driver – John Peters age 44 of Dan Bowling Road, London, Ky. charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of Marijuana

Carrie Swafford age 29 of Outter Creek Road, Manchester, Ky. charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
