BAXTER, KY (November 2, 2020) – On October 31, 2020 at approximately 11:05 P.M. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call in reference to a single vehicle collision on Ky. 840 in the Baxter community of Harlan County. Trooper Aaron Caldwell responded and began an investigation.
Initial investigation indicates Kelly Morgan (50) was traveling east on Ky. 840 on a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle when he lost control of the motorcycle.
Mr. Morgan crossed the center line into the west bound shoulder and was thrown from the motorcycle.
EMS transported Mr. Morgan to Harlan ARH Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries from the collision.
Harlan Police Department and Loyall Police Department assisted at the scene.
Trooper Aaron Caldwell is continuing the investigation.
