LONDON, KY (November 8, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Reed along with Deputy Dylan Messer arrested Scott M. Cope age 23 of London on Friday night November 6, 2020 at approximately 8:37 PM.
The arrest occurred off Lilliane Lane, approximately 4 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a dispute there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned that allegedly a male subject there would not allow a female subject to leave the residence and had allegedly thrown her onto the bed and grabbed her just below her chin.
Deputies noted that the female victim was apparently 5 months pregnant. Deputies had EMS respond and transported the female victim to St. Joseph Hospital London with possible injuries.
Scott Cope was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
- Wanton endangerment – First-degree
This individual is lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
