SOMERSET, KY - Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck reports that on November 8, 2020 at approximately 11:09 PM two people were arrested on Aspen Court in Somerset, Kentucky by Deputy Nick Barber and other officers.
Deputy Nick Barber saw a 1999 Rav4 on West Highway 80 backed into a yard resting against a mailbox. When he went past the vehicle it took off at a high rate of speed. Deputy Barber tried to catch up to the vehicle and after several turns it turned onto Castlewood Court still traveling at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle finally stopped on Aspen Court. When Deputy Barber confronted the driver, he learned the driver to be Gary Hudson and the passenger to be Teri Eden. Other officers arrived to assist Deputy Barber.
Trooper Corey Jones and Deputy Austin Swartz found a Ziploc bag that contained 7 small plastic baggies.
The total weight was 32 grams of a white crystal substance believed to be Methamphetamine. Another .86 grams of suspect Methamphetamine was located in the vehicle also with items normally used in the sale and use of illegal drugs.
Gary J. Hudson Jr., age 37 of Everett Lane Spur in Nancy was arrested for the following:
1. Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (greater than 2 grams of Methamphetamine)
2. Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
3. Reckless Driving
4. Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
5. Failure to or Improper Signal
Teri L. Eden, age 42, of 3815 Castlewood Court in Somerset, Kentucky was charged with the following:
1. Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (greater than 2 grams of Methamphetamine)
2. Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
Both Hudson and Eden were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center where they remain lodged as of this release. Each has a court date set for November 18, 2020.
