LONDON, KY (November 25, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Landry Collett arrested two individuals off KY 312 in a business parking lot approximately 10 miles South of London early Wednesday morning November 25, 2020 at approximately 3:25 AM.
The arrests occurred after a vehicle pulled into the business parking lot off Highway 312 and occupants in the vehicle rolled down their window and yelled at Deputy Collett who was in the business parking lot already.
The occupants of the vehicle did not recognize that Deputy Collett was an on-duty police officer and the occupants attempted to sell Methamphetamine to Deputy Collett.
Deputy Collett conducted an investigation and found the driver and passenger in possession of:
- Methamphetamine
- Gabapentin
- Digital scales
- A glass pipe
Deputy Collett arrested the two occupants identifying them as:
The driver, Tonya Lynn Blankenship age 40 of Myrtle Blankenship Road, Stopover, KY charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – third-degree – first offense
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
The passenger, Michael W. Mills age 60 of Mullins Rd., London charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – third-degree – first offense
- Possession of Drug paraphernalia
These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
