LSO Deputies Arrest Two at a Motel in Southern, Kentucky during Investigation of "Possible Drug Activity" Complaint

LONDON, KY (December 8, 2020) Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler along with Deputy Hunter Disney, Deputy Brent France, and Deputy Daniel Reed arrested two individuals in southern Laurel County on Monday night December 7th, 2020 at approximately 8:07 P.M. 

The arrests occurred at a motel approximately 9 miles South of London after deputies received a complaint of possible drug activity by occupants of a room there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies found two individuals in a room and located suspected methamphetamine, a loaded needle, a glass meth pipe, and other paraphernalia there. The two arrested individuals were identified as:

Brian Lynn Moore age 40 of Hemlock Rd., Corbin charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

In addition, this subject was wanted on a Knox District Court warrant of arrest obtained by Knox County Sheriff's Deputy Estep charging:

  • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
  • Fleeing or evading police – first-degree – on foot
  • Menacing

Nikki Brumett age 38 of Robert E. Cox Rd., London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
