SOMERSET, KY - Sheriff Greg Speck reports that on January 21, 2021, Deputy Branson Patterson arrested Gary Hudson, age 38, of Everett Lane Spur, Nancy, Kentucky following a traffic stop where suspected illegal drugs were found and seized.
Deputy Patterson responded to a complaint of an intoxicated person in a vehicle on Highway 1664 in Nancy, KY. Deputy Patterson located a 1999 Toyota Rav4 with Gary Hudson in the driver’s seat.
Deputy Patterson contacted Mr. Hudson and determined that he was possibly under the influence of either drugs or alcohol.
Deputy Patterson, continuing the investigating, arrested Mr. Hudson for:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Substance, 1st Offense
Deputy Patterson also located illegal drugs consistent with Marijuana and Methamphetamine as well as items used in the sale and use of Marijuana.
In addition to the drunk driving charge, Deputy Patterson charged Gary Hudson with the following:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (greater than 2 grams of Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle
- Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
Deputy Patterson transported Gary Hudson to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
During the booking process at the Detention Center, additional suspected Methamphetamine was located on Gary Hudson.
Mr. Hudson was additionally charged with:
- Promoting Contraband, 1st Degree
The case remains under investigation by Deputy Branson Patterson.
