LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Brent France along with K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler investigated a two vehicle serious injury traffic crash which occurred on US 25W approximately 11 miles South of London on Monday afternoon March 8, 2021 at approximately 4:34 PM.
Investigating deputies report that two vehicles were involved, a Whitley County school bus occupied only by the driver who was not injured and a Ford SUV occupied by the driver, an male adult with a female adult passenger and three juveniles as passengers.
The adult female received serious injuries and was airlifted to UK Medical Center for treatment. The three juveniles were transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to Corbin Healthcare hospital for treatment of possible injuries.
Assisting at the scene were: Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, West Knox Volunteer Fire Department, and London Laurel Rescue Squad.
