MANCHESTER, KY (May 18, 2021) - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on May 15, 2021 at approximately 1:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Wes Brumley along with Deputy Kendric Smith arrested Hunter Bell, 25 of Monticello.
The arrest occurred off of Liberty Road when the above mentioned subject who was operating a motor vehicle almost hit Deputy Brumley's patrol car while travelling at a high rate of speed.
Once Deputy Brumley activated his emergency lights, the above mentioned subject failed to stop.
After a brief pursuit the subject then came to a final stop when it met another vehicle in a curve and had to yield.
The subject was placed under arrest without further incident.
Hunter Bell was charged with:
• Speeding 26 MPH Or> Speed Limit
• Reckless Driving
• Wanton Endangerment- 2nd Degree Police Officer
• Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
• Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alc. .08
