Methamphetamine and Cash Seized during Arrest on US 25 of a Fugitive Wanted by the United States Marshal Service

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor arrested Vadas James Eversole age 50 of East Bernstadt early Friday morning May 28, 2021 at approximately 2:14 AM.

The arrest occurred on US 25 approximately 8 miles north of London following a traffic stop conducted on a gray Honda Civic.

During the traffic stop it was determined that the driver was a wanted fugitive.

In addition, this individual was found in possession of a large amount of suspected Methamphetamine and US currency.

Vadas James Eversole was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

In addition, this individual was charged with:

  • Being a fugitive from another state wanted by the United States Marshal service with full extradition

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root (right) stated that drug arrests will continue in Laurel County.

Deputies assisting on the investigation included: Deputy Landry Collett, Deputy Hobie Daugherty, shift Sgt. John Inman, Deputy Tommy Houston, and Detective James Sizemore.
