Man Wanted in Illinois found with Methamphetamine after a Kentucky State Trooper Stops him for Speeding on KY 121

KIRBYTON, KY.  – Troopers with Kentucky State Police, Post 1 arrested an Illinois man for various drug charges after a weekend traffic stop in Carlisle County.

On Sunday, August 8, 2021 a Trooper with KSP Post 1 conducted a traffic stop on a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado after he observed the vehicle speeding on KY 121 outside of the Kirbyton community.

During the course of the stop, the Trooper learned the operator, Bobby G. Styers, 36 of Cunningham, Kentucky, had an arrest warrant out of Illinois.

During a consent search of Styers’ vehicle, the Trooper located suspected Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Bobby G. Styers was taken into custody and charged with:

  • Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Substance 1st Offense
  • Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
  • Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
  • Other traffic offenses

This individual was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
