INEZ, KY – The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call from Martin County 911 dispatch on August 19, 2021, regarding a call of an unresponsive female.
KSP investigators responded to a residence on Tomahawk Road where they located 22 year old Brooklyn Sloas unresponsive inside the residence.
Sloas was pronounced dead at the scene by Martin County Coroner’s Office.
Sloas’s body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for an autopsy.
The cause of death remains under investigation.
Detective Kevin Newsome is leading the investigation. He was assisted on scene by KSP personnel.
