CLAY COUNTY, KY (September 22, 2021) - On Wednesday evening ClayCoNews started receiving inquiries regarding an unusual sign on a roadway off Kentucky 80 in Clay County.
After several inquiries with individuals expressing concerns as to whether the sign was a Halloween prank or a legitimate road work advisory, ClayCoNews contacted the Clay County Judge Executive Johnny Johnson regarding the matter.
Judge Johnson's response was:
"Yes, there is going to be repairs done on the Curry Branch Road, this has been announced on local radio, however the sign in question was not put up by the Clay County Road Department but may have been erected by the contractor that will be doing the repairs.
My office sincerely apologizes for any confusion regarding this issue!"
