PRESTONSBURG, KY - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at 3:31 A.M. the Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a 911 call regarding a stabbing in Floyd County. KSP investigators responded to a residence on State Road Fork and discovered a male had been stabbed.
The initial investigation indicates an altercation between Joshua Holbrook and Danny Waddles resulted in Holbrook suffering a fatal stab wound.
Joshua Holbrook, 28 years old of Prestonsburg, KY, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Floyd County Coroner’s Office.
As a result of this investigation Danny Waddles was arrested.
Danny Waddles is currently charged with:
- Murder
This individual was lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
Detective Joseph Coleman is leading the investigation.
He was assisted on scene by KSP personnel and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
