LONDON, KY (October 8, 2021) - According to a homeowner in London, his wife had called him during his work on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 7:30 P.M. to let him know that Harold Frye, the father of two of their grandchildren was in the house, the husband then spoke with Frye on the phone and was informed by Frye that he was waiting there on their daughter.
Then a neighbor called him at 7:45 PM to report a strange vehicle behind the homeowner’s house and during that call a ruckus was heard over the phone and the neighbor said “It’s bad”, the phone then went quiet.
After the husband had spoken with Frye on the phone the situation escalated inside the residence with the wife being physically restrained and handcuffed by Frye. She managed to free herself from him and exit the home but was overtaken by Frye near the street.
He was attempting to get her back inside the residence when neighbors intervened and he fled the scene before responding Police Officers arrived.
It was learned later that Harold Frye had allegedly forced his way into the home past the wife after she had answered his knock on the door.
According to the husband, Officers at the scene removed the handcuffs from his wife and a 2nd pair of handcuffs was later discovered inside the home and reported to the police.
After being sought and located by Police, the suspect -Harold Frye was taken into custody.
According to jail records Harold Frye age 44 of London, KY was arrested on Friday, October 8, 2021. The London Police Department is listed as the arresting agency.
Harold Ray Frye was charged with:
- KIDNAPPING-ADULT
- BURGLARY, 1ST DEGREE
- WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE
- ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (MINOR INJURY)
