LONDON, KY – The Kentucky State Police, London Post partnered with the London City Police, Laurel County Health Department and the DEA on Saturday, October 23, 2021 for the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
We would like to thank all the citizens that brought in their current, outdated or unwanted medications.
The event was a very big success with 63.5 lbs. of medication being turned in.
Due to this initiative thousands of pounds of prescription drugs are removed from communities across Kentucky which prevents the diversion of these medications onto the illicit market.
The next Drug Take-Back event will be in the end of April.
