LONDON, KY (October 25, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Dylan Messer arrested Timothy Curry age 42 of Ravenwood Circle, London on Sunday afternoon October 24, 2021 at approximately 2:50 PM.
The arrest occurred on Waterworks Road, approximately 1 mile west of London following a traffic stop conducted on a red Jeep Compass.
During the traffic stop and as Deputy Messer conversed with the driver about his violations, Deputy Messer noted observing a handgun laying in the passenger seat.
During the stop Deputy Messer noted that the driver in an abrupt manner grabbed the handgun causing Deputy Messer to retreat for his safety to the rear of the patrol vehicle.
Deputy Messer ordered the driver to drop the firearm at which time the driver complied and followed deputy’s commands and was safely taken into custody.
Timothy Curry was charged with:
- TERRORISTIC THREATENING, 3RD DEGREE
- MENACING
- FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS
- LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
