LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler along with Deputy Greg Poynter arrested Rebecca Polston age 37 of Somerset on Wednesday evening November 3, 2021 at approximately 5 PM.
The arrest occurred off GOP Street in London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint at a business there that there was an out-of-control female subject there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the suspect who upon seeing deputies attempted to walk away from deputies in the parking lot.
Deputies attempted to conduct an investigation however the suspect began yelling and cursing and creating a disturbance there.
Deputies noted detecting a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from this subject determining that she was under the influence.
Upon arrest this individual continued to yell obscenities and creating a disturbance there.
Rebecca Polston was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Menacing
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
